An irregularly shaped thread grips the bolt for a stronger hold than nylon-insert cap locknuts. Also known as acorn locknuts, a smooth rounded head that covers and protects threads while providing a finished appearance. Made from 18-8 stainless steel, they have good chemical resistance.
