To counteract rotation while under load, the outer strands are wound in the opposite direction of the core. Made of 18-8 stainless steel, this wire rope delivers good corrosion resistance. Individual wire strands are preformed to maintain their shape and prevent rope from unraveling when cut. Extra-lubricated wire rope has an additional coating of lubrication for added wear and corrosion resistance.
