Standard-Wall Galvanized Steel Pipe Nipples and Pipe for Joining Dissimilar Metals
For Use With: Water
Max. Temperature: 225° F
Specifications Met: See table
Fittings: Use 125 or 150 copper, galvanized iron, and galvanized steel
A plastic sleeve prevents destructive corrosion when connecting different metals. Pipe is also known as Schedule 40 and is designed for low-pressure applications. It is galvanized steel, which has fair corrosion resistance. Pipe is welded, so there is a weld bead on the inside. Not for use in heating systems that use hot liquids or gas.
